Installation Steps

PLEASE WATCH THE INSTALLATION VIDEO CAREFULLY IN DETAILS BEFORE YOU SET UP.


Step 0

Double-check the fitment before you install it.
Please check the label on your controller and make sure is brand new and from "Fardriver" brand. This bluetooth dongle fits for Fardriver controller only.
If you bought the wrong part by mistake, please contact us for help via the contact form at the end of this page.

 

Step 1

Please learn the installation videos first.

Warning: Before installing and uninstalling the dongle, please cut off the power.

Step 2

Install the dongle into your FarDriver controller.

  • Cut off the power. Notes: Turn off the power to avoid high voltage damage dongle.
  • and install the Dongle into the plug. Snap the buckle into the dongle.
  • Turn on the power. Check the light in the dongle. Notes: the dongle lights up, that is to say, the dongle is in good condition and ready to work.

 

Step 3

Download the APP to connect with the links below.

  • If you have an Android phone, please go to the "APP for Android"  below.
  • If you have an iPhone, please obtain the download link via the "APP for Apple" below. Or search in Appstore with keyword " Fardriver" to get one with the name "南京远驱" by "Nanjing FarDriver".

Step 4

Install the APP, and then open the bluetooth function of your phone for Fardriver.

 

Step 5

Registering.

  • Turn on "A-1" & "A-2" buttons. Fill in your email in the blank. Use "verify Code Quick Register" model/method to get the verification code with your email. Please double-check your email inbox/spam box for it.
  • Use your email to register. Please remember that DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE NO.
  • Input your password & repeat your password & Verification Code from your email.
  • Finally, click the "Registering" button.
  • The pop-up window will disappear then. The registration process is all done, and you have already logged in. Please note there isn't any notice window to inform us for registering or log in successfully  from Fardriver app in this situation of this step.

Notes: If the APP doesn't show the content properly, please try with another phone to have a try, like a iPhone. And contact us via the "contact form" at the end of this page for help. No worries. We are here to assist you.

 

Step 6

Try to connect with the App and set up the parameter step by step according to the installation videos as the video time from "1:25" to "2:28".

Notes: Please screenshot all your settings and save them before you get started to modify so that you can edit it back if something goes wrong.

 

Step 7

Refer to the Installation Video from "2:25" to "2:43".

  • Turn off the power. In this step, the screen of your ebike will show the "E10" code after you modify the parameter, like the picture shown below.
  • uninstall the dongle.
  • Turn on the power and restart your ebike. And then test the speed.

The dongle doesn't work

2 Reasons may result it. The dongle is defective or you didn't set up properly.

  • Cut off the power and plug in the dongle to the socket to Insert into the buckle of the socket. Then, power on. If the dongle lights up. That is to say, the dongle is in good condition. If you plug in from other direction in power-on situation, You will damage it by connecting it to high voltage.

  • If the dongle lights up. That is to say, you didn't set up properly. Please check the installation video to set up step by step.

The apps keeps on saying my controller is not in bound

Please register with your email first. And then log in, try to connect again.

App says "Bound is not Authorize, Copy bellow message to the Owner"

Why the screen shows "E10"

It's correct. The screen will show the "E10" code after you modify the parameter as you can see at "2:29" in the installation video.
In this situation, you just turn off the power, uninstall the dongle, and then turn on the power. Your controller will use the new parameter setting. as the installation video shown from "2:29" to "2:43"
